Many thanks to all who came out for the concert, and all who contributed their time to help make it a success. We had three fantastic college groups for your entertainment, as well as Wayland’s own T-Tones, Muses and Madrigals. The college groups were:

Harvard Opportunes
In 1980, two Harvard-Radcliffe students transformed a loosely organized co-ed singing group called the Harvard Squares into Harvard’s first full-fledged, mixed a cappella ensemble, now known as the Harvard Opportunes. Over the years, the Opportunes have won widespread acclaim for their intricate six-to-eight-part harmonies as well as for their stage presence and sense of humor. Our members hail from all over the country and the world and are involved in Harvard athletics, clubs, theater, publications, and service programs. The Opportunes will be featuring a Wayland alum, Larry Guo!

Northeastern Treble on Huntington
Treble on Huntington was formed in the Fall of 2007 as Northeastern University’s original all-female a cappella group. Their unique name came from a combination of a musical pun and Huntington Avenue, Northeastern’s central nervous system. Treble on Huntington is coming at you live and in color from Boston! Skilled in the language of music, these fierce females are ready to rock your soul to the very core and leave you cheering for more. Feast your ears on the remarkable and melodious masterpiece that is Treble on Huntington.

Amherst College Route 9
Route 9 is an all-male a cappella group specializing in contemporary rock, pop, and R&B arrangements. We were founded in October 2000 at Amherst College and are named for the state highway that runs alongside the school. As a group, we always look to expand our musical boundaries through our ever-growing repertoire. Rain, shine, or snow, a Route 9 performance is guaranteed to be a fun time!

All proceeds from the concert benefit the arts at Wayland high school.
