Theater
CAPA funded professional makeup artist training for WHSTE’s 2025 winter play Ugly Lies the Bone, helping students authentically portray a story about a veteran burn survivor.
About CAPA
The Creative Arts Parent Association (CAPA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing creativity and expanding opportunities in the fine arts at Wayland High School. We support and celebrate the visual, musical, and dramatic arts by elevating awareness of student performances, exhibitions, and achievements, and by fostering strong partnerships among parents, educators, administrators, and the School Committee.
Through the generosity of our community and the dedication of our volunteers, CAPA provides vital funding for programs and materials that enrich arts education beyond the school budget. Our support brings learning to life through visiting artists, hands-on workshops, field trips, competitions, and other experiences that inspire students to explore, create, and grow as artists.

Why We Love CAPA
Art programs like the one we have at WHS provide the opportunity for young people to strengthen their sense of individuality and build confidence for self expression. It’s an amazing feeling to contribute to the program and interact with the community.

Vickie, CAPA President
