Wayland High School Theater Ensemble presents HADESTOWN:Teen Edition – November 21-23!
Celebrated singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell wrote HADESTOWN as an intertwining of two mythic tales—that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone. It won eight Tony Awards(R) in 2019, including Best Musical, and the 2020 Grammy(R) Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
WHSTE has the unique privilege of being one of the first high schools in the world to perform the Teen Edition for audiences this fall, even while the Broadway version is still running in New York. They invite you to join them on this fabulous musical journey to the underworld and back!
